How does AI Assist work in Airfocus?
AI Assist in Airfocus is a powerful tool designed for product managers. It's integrated directly into the Airfocus item descriptions and comments, providing users with a range of automated prompts to help generate ideas, produce first drafts, analyze feedback sentiment, and simplify complicated technical jargon.
AI Assist is enabled by default for new trial teams starting from February 2, 2023. Admins of existing teams must first activate AI Assist for their users via the team settings. To access the team settings, click on your avatar in the bottom left corner of the screen and go to "Team settings", then select "Features".
AI Assist is available in your item descriptions as a slash command and a context-sensitive editor. To activate any slash command, simply type / into your item description field. The available commands include writing a PRD, a problem statement, a user story, a release note, brainstorming ideas, and telling a story.
To get access to the editor, just highlight any text and click on AI Assist in the hovering toolbar. The available options include making it non-technical, showing the value, analyzing sentiment, improving writing, fixing spelling and grammar, summarizing, translating, explaining, making shorter, using simpler language, and finding action items.
AI Assist works with OpenAI to provide the service. Only the text from your item description or comment, paired with a prompt and an identifier, is sent to OpenAI. No additional user data is sent. The identifier is random and traceable by OpenAI. The data used by these models is not automatically sent to OpenAI. Instead, they require the user to actively click a button to trigger the process for the generative AI features. These features will not automatically send account data. No Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is sent. For the generative AI description feature, only the text from the description or comment field from the respective item is sent to OpenAI upon clicking the AI Assist generate buttons. Your data is not being used to train and/or improve the OpenAI models. From March 2023, the use of data for model training/improvement is now on an opt-in basis.
